Now that the Christmas break is over, it was back to action in the KCT leagues, with a match against Kinross Ladies. The team of Dave Thomson (skip), Gary Moyes (3rd), Dawn Black (2nd) and Colin Ballantine (lead) got off to a good start, taking a single in the first end against the hammer. The next couple of ends went with the hammer, both sides taken two's. Mind you, the 3rd end was looking very worrying at one point, with Kinross Ladies sitting with five stones in the house, with not a single KCDC stone to be seen. It just goes to show that an end can change very quickly as we managed to get a couple of stones into the 4-foot for two shots. As so often seems the case in KCDC games in this league, the fifth end proved to be a turning point. Kinross Ladies managed to steal a two against the hammer, then followed that up by restricting KCDC to a single in the 6th. The final two ends traded two's with the hammer, leaving the final score at 7-6 to Kinross Ladies.
A good all round performance from the team in what was a very close game. Next up is Dalgety Bay on the 11th February.
KCDC 1 0 2 0 0 1 0 2 6
Kinross Ladies 0 2 0 2 2 0 2 0 7
