There have been many games played in the last few weeks. Mixed fortunes for the two rinks that went to Kirkcaldy, a narrow defeat to Perth Virtual which all came down to the last stone. In the KCDC Spring League Paul's rink is undefeated so far. There have been a number of games in the KCT league and friendlies against 'mainstream' clubs that have all had similar results (not similar to Paul's rink)! The results are elsewhere on the website.
In the words of Iain after the game against Dollar and Devonvale :- "4 ex KCDC members gave us a lesson in consistent curling. They were very encouraging and supportive throughout the match; it was reassuring to know that they too were on the end of some large losses during their time in KCDC. What is evident is that 'practice makes perfect' as they all play on a weekly basis if not more frequently. It was a thoroughly enjoyable game which showed that its not the winning or the losing but the spirit in which the game is played that counts".
There are more games to be enjoyed before the season is out pluis our KCDC Points, Pairs and Closing Bonspiel. We will then say farewell to those who have served their full time in the club. More on this later.
