Like Graeme I was a bit nervous about my skipping debut, however my team mates Iain ,Ann and Gill were very supportive.
We got off to a bad start losing 4 in the first end and we didn't put a score on the board until the 5th end where we scored a 2.
I don't think the scoreline reflected our play (the usual excuse). In particular I thought we had a good read on the speed of the ice with few stones arriving short or going through the house. The difference between ourselves and Glenfarg were marginal with dodgy tactical decisions or sweeping decisions for line due to my inexperience. Gordon the skip from Glenfarg remarked we were giving them something to think about halfway through the sixth end but by this time the damage was done.
We finished up winning the final end with a take out to finish on a high note.
On a personal note I enjoyed the opportunity to skip which gave me a different perspective on the game and improved my confidence when I played my own stones.
